What is AISI?
AISI stands for the "Alberta Initiative for School Improvement" and has been put in place to inspire, support, and encourage school growth in a variety of ways. Wolf Creek School Division has initiated several forward-thinking projects throughout several three-year AISI cycles: a new objective-based assessment system encouraging mastery of curriculum outcomes, differentiation of learning programming based on student learning styles and needs, and now a push for inclusion and Excellent Learning Environments (ELEs).
What are the ELEs?
ELEs stand for "Excellent Learning Environments", and represents an initiative led by the Wolf Creek School Division to build better classrooms, better learning opportunities, and more confident, purposeful, and skilled teachers within the division. There are 12 ELEs to focus on, and this site is dedicated to sharing Crestomere Schools' journey in strengthening each and every one to support the learning in our building.
Each ELE will be recorded here, with exemplars, ideas, and reflections from the staff when possible.
